Well, I have to say they do! After a rather tough last year which included losing my wife, Chris, and my dog, Esko, both to cancer, I received an email from Meryem Ersoz, the Boulder producer and owner of Red Pine Studios. She had seen me work in another film and asked if I would like a part in a movie she would be producing in 2011 called “Mind’s Eye”. I, of course, said yes immediately. Do you ever turn down a role – NOT!!! Well, time went on and suddenly I began to get emails that this project may be of a bigger scope than originally planned. All of a sudden heavyweight Mark Grove, owner of Asgard Entertainment, was brought on to direct, and Jon Firestone, a whiz with the RedCam was brought on, as well as Jeremy Christopher. Hmmmm. Well, about two weeks ago I got a FB message to check Twitter and lightning had struck – screen legend Malcolm McDowell had been signed. I was literally in heaven as Stanley Kubrick’s ” A Clockwork Orange” is one of my top five all time films. And that day, I had just watched “Caligula”! What could be better. Well, it does get better. A few days ago I received word that Dean Cain “Lois and Clark” had been signed. I still have at least a hundred Superman comics I had as a kid and could this be true? I rushed back to my emails to check if I had been dreaming, but no, I hadn’t. Two days later I received my Mind’s Eye contract in the mail and I will be a featured supporting actor in this film. For those of you that don’t know – that is a BIG DEAL!

I have to say that Meryem Ersoz is one heck of a woman, producer and filmmaker, and now friend, and I thank the UNIVERSE she saw me as Edgar Lehman. And more fun, I get to act with some local actors I know, Kristin Keating, David Fisher, Meggie Maddock and Phil Lame who is in my acting class! Sometimes the UNIVERSE tries to balance things out. Nothing will ever make up for my loss, but I have to say, the UNIVERSE is trying.

I also have to mention my acting coach, and incredible actor, Benjy Dobrin. He has guided me through my acting career with such dedication and guidance that the only way to repay him would be to someday stand at the Academy Awards and mention his name. I hope it happens Benjy. Yes, I think BIG!

This is the start of something beautiful. I am along for the ride, But I an damn glad, Meryem, Mark, Jon, Dean, Malcolm, and the entire cast are in it with me.

Thank you! Now let’s make a MOVIE!
